Katie’s Story

This is a family heirloom that we restored, it was featured in the Landy Newspaper and an absolutely lovely tribute to this Landy Series

A New Lease of Life

So good to see our work featuring in this months Land Rover Monthly thanks to the guys over at the magazine for the feature & editorial! Front Page too which is always lovely. We often ask our customers when they have an interesting build if they would like to have their vehicle put forward for editorials and this one is certainly a great read!

Together we make a difference

Well over the last few months, you may have been following the story of James & Oscar & Max. Now you may ask who are they?

James is one of our customers who came to us last year with a very personal enquiry regarding his Land Rover Restoration.

James was diagnosed with Terminal Cancer, yes Cancer, that awful disease that now effects 1 in 4 people. James asked us if we could restore his Land Rover so that he could pass over to his son Max as a farewell gift.

So off Rob went to visit James and look at his Land Rover, and upon returning to the garage stated – “Right we have to do something!”

The full story was featured in Land Rover Monthly Magazine, but the long and short of it with some help from some of our suppliers Bearmach, Exmoor Trim & MM4x4 who very kindly donated parts for James’ Land Rover we got it done and he collected it back in November/December Time.

So you might say why are you rabbling on, well we couldn’t just couldn’t leave it there so we produced a calendar for 2018.  Again with the support of some wonderful volunteers and some fabulous people,  we photographed and produced the 2018 Calendar – and to date we have raised nearly £2,300.00 in sales – So a huge thank you, we are still collecting monies and hope to present the cheque over to Cancer Research Uk within the next few weeks.

Summer 2016

Well what a year so far, since the announcement of the Defender stopping we have been busy. All good for us and to be honest how wonderful that so many of our customers what to keep the old girls alive and running.

We’ve seen more chassis changes over the last three months, we had some tired old girls in the workshop, but see how they have changed. Some extremely happy customers and when you see the process from start to finish you can understand why.

Rob and the team specialise in chassis changes, refurbishments and they look fabulous. New body shells, all painted in our own workshops, new galvanised chassis fitted, copper brake pipes, all mechanicals overhauled. Sometimes she even gets treated to some new seats…the sky really is the limit on these beauties. You ask we find and fit for you.

2016 – Astwood 4×4 Ltd

Welcome to the new site, its taken a little time and are still only at the beginning, we are hoping to build on it daily but for the meantime we give you a simple insight to what we are doing here at Astwood 4×4 Ltd

2015 proved to be a busy year with many of our old customers returning to us and supporting our new venture.

As many of you will know we started off as Liveridge over 30 years ago and sadly in September 2014 for many reasons we had to the close the site down at Earlswood, Solihull.

From the move we also saw some managerial changes to the new Company.  Robert had been at Liveridge for over 30 years, working in  the refurbishment/restoration workshops.  With the move over to Astwood Bank it gave Robert the opportunity to build the business and to concentrate on our core business of series vehicles and defenders.

So here we are 12 months on and the team has now grown from 3 to 7, we aim to still stay small to ensure we offer our customers the bespoke service they want.

We look forward to seeing you in 2016  at Astwood Business Park,  drop in and say hello we are always here to discuss your Landrover requirements

All the best for 2016 everyone – Happy New Year

Regards

Rob
